Entry into Egypt:
Visas are required of all visitors, with the exception of Nationals of the Arab League countries, Malta, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Electricity:
220 volts AC, with Egyptian electrical sockets requiring the round, two-pin European type of plug.

Local Time:
2 hours ahead of GMT/UTC. Daylight Savings tme is observed from May 1 to the end of September. Check for national holdays when booking your trip.

Climate:
Soma Bay enjoys year-round sunshine. Winters are temperate, with daytime temperatures averaging in the low to mid 20s (degrees Celcius). Summer temperatures average in the low 30s.
